Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely financial information to support the achievement of our company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and reporting packs, including key performance indicators (KPIs), sales statistics, and financial commentary.
  • Statutory Compliance: Oversee the submission of statutory returns and manage the working capital position to maximize net free cash flow.
  • Decision Support: Provide financial insights to the management team and CFO, offering recommendations to improve profitability and reduce costs.
  • Year-End Accounts: Prepare year-end statutory accounts and liaise with group auditors.
  • Financial Support: Attend company management meetings to provide financial support and evaluate financial aspects of new product development and promotions.
  • Treasury Management: Manage treasury functions and monthly manufacturing costing runs.
Requirements
  • Accounting Qualification: Relevant accounting qualification, minimum part qualified ACCA.
  • Experience: 3 – 5 years' experience in a finance function.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and proficiency with SAP systems.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the distribution and FMCG business sector.
  • Accounting Certification: ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Experience in manufacturing accounting.
