Job Title: Senior Project Manager

MacTaggart Scott is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of projects within our Projects Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a portfolio of projects with direct reports, ensuring adherence to department and business processes.
  • Mentor and train members of the project team, carrying out annual appraisals.
  • Manage project schedules and activities, communicating with stakeholders.
  • Ensure project budgets and forecasts are maintained, with support from the Finance team.
  • Manage change and contract variations, risk management, and scope and contractual requirement management.
  • Chair meetings in the absence of the Line Manager, including invoicing and debt meetings, Contract Review meetings, and weekly department meetings.

Requirements:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Word packages for report preparation and scheduling.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work unaided and on own initiative.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to persuade and influence people.
  • Experience working independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage others and interpret detailed project schedules and budgets.
  • Good risk management skills and knowledge.
  • Experience working with overseas customers and markets.

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must hold or be able to meet the appropriate Security Clearance as required.
