Job Title: Commercial Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Think Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for commercially managing contracts to success, ensuring accurate cost estimation, and leading a well-established team of colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Obtain and evaluate information to guarantee a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials, and services for designated Social Housing, tenanted, planned works refurbishments.
  2. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure information, costs, profitability, and value meet the requirements of designated project/contracts.
  3. Manage the monthly CVR Process for your region.
  4. Lead and manage the performance of a well-established team of colleagues, including a QS/AQS/TQS & Commercial Admin.
  5. Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for designated projects.
  6. Ensure all invoices submitted accurately and for certified value to ensure payments are received on time.
  7. Support your team to value and authorise payments to sub-contractors within the region.
  8. Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements.
  9. Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and/or Clients/Customers when necessary, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  10. Assist in the preparation, processing, and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders to demanding timescales.
  11. Support the team with monitoring the contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs and/or time scale.
  12. Assist in the control of contract budgets.
  13. Assist in the development of the procurement programme.
