About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a Painter, you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of internal and external painting in domestic and commercial buildings, including stripping and papering walls, ceilings, and staircases.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out high-quality painting work to meet the needs of our tenants and customers
  • Using elements of other general trades to meet the target of first-time fix where efficient and appropriate
  • Communicating effectively with customers with differing needs
  • Investigating and testing to identify faults and implementing lasting solutions
  • Working in a well-organised and methodical approach to completing tasks and prioritisation skills

About You

We are looking for an experienced Painter who has:

  • Qualifications in painting and decorating, such as NVQ3 or C&G Advance Craft
  • A full and valid driving licence
  • Experience of working in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
