Access Equipment Engineer needed to support the expansion of our client's operations. Our client specializes in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of mobility solutions for individuals with limited mobility. They are seeking a technician with prior experience in a similar capacity, ideally located within a reasonable commuting distance from Birmingham, where a significant portion of the work is concentrated. The preferred candidate should possess at least two years of relevant experience.

This position requires a valid manual driving license.

Position Overview for Access Equipment Engineer

  • Install stair lift systems and other mobility equipment according to manufacturer specifications and safety regulations, which constitutes the primary focus of the role.
  • The position primarily involves work in Birmingham and nearby regions.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance and servicing on mobility equipment.
  • Identify and rectify faults in access equipment.
  • Keep precise records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Deliver exceptional service to clients.
  • Opportunity for participation in training programs.
  • One of the key contracts held by the client is with the local council.

Position Requirements for Access Equipment Engineer

  • At least 2 years of experience in a comparable role, preferably involving the installation of stairlifts and other mobility solutions.
  • Training from manufacturers is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Must be located within a reasonable commuting distance from Birmingham.
  • Ideally possess a clean manual driving license.
  • Strong customer service abilities.

Remuneration for Access Equipment Engineer

  • Salary range of £35,000-£40,000 based on experience.
  • 28 days of holiday, including bank holidays.
  • Company vehicle with a fuel card.
  • Mobile phone provided.
  • Standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
  • No overtime required.
  • Pension plan included.
