Mencap is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Professionals to join our team in Chelmsford. You'll have the opportunity to work with individuals with learning disabilities, providing essential support and fostering their independence.

About the Role

This position involves working within a four-person service where residents are largely independent and require moderate assistance with daily tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with personal care and medication administration
  • Preparing meals and maintaining a clean living environment
  • Accompanying individuals on outings to the community, such as shopping or participating in activities
  • Providing transportation to appointments
  • Engaging in meaningful interactions and providing emotional support

Contract Options

30 hours Part-time: Flexible hours based on availability.

Shift Times

All our services operate 24/7. We create rotas at least four weeks in advance, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

  • Days: Between 07:00 and 14:30, or 9:00 and 18:00, or 14:30 and 22:00
  • Sleep-in shifts are available with an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45.
