Position:
Light Transport Operator – Motorcycle Movements

Location:
Rainham

Shift Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 4 PM (overtime and weekend opportunities available)

Compensation:
£39,060 for CE Drivers with a minimum of 2 years' experience
£37,060 for C Drivers, with progression to £39,060 upon achieving CE status (training available)

Company Overview:
Igloo is in search of experienced Light Transport Operators specializing in motorcycle movements to enhance our client's operations in Rainham. This role presents a remarkable opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and leading vehicle movement organization.

Role Summary:
As a Light Transport Operator, your role will be vital in delivering dependable, efficient, and courteous service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely recovering a variety of vehicles across London utilizing recovery vehicles and equipment.
  • Adhering strictly to safety standards and regulations.
  • Providing professional service to clients and customers, demonstrating a courteous and helpful attitude during recovery operations.
  • Conducting detailed inspections of recovered vehicles, accurately documenting any damages or issues.
  • Collaborating effectively with fellow recovery drivers and support personnel.
  • Completing all administrative tasks, including the accurate and timely use of electronic devices and processes.

Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a recovery or tow truck driver.
  • Valid Driver CPC and familiarity with tachograph legislation.
  • Motorbike license is required.
  • Minimum Driving License: Category C, ideally CE (training provided for Category C drivers to achieve CE status).
  • Clean driving record (no DR, CD, DD, IN, or TT99 endorsements).
  • Knowledge of vehicle recovery techniques and equipment.
  • High standards of safety and professionalism in all recovery operations, with a positive, proactive, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards.
  • Successful candidates must pass the NPPV2 vetting process.
  • IVR level training (Institute of Vehicle Recovery) is desirable.
