Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering a Quality Catering Service
    • Prepare and cook meals to the highest standards, ensuring that they are nutritious and appealing to our residents.
    • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
  • Compliance with Health and Safety Procedures
    • Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the safe handling of food and equipment.
  • Minimising Wastage and Maximising Efficiency
    • Minimise food waste by planning and preparing meals carefully, and by using all ingredients efficiently.
    • Ensure that all equipment is used correctly and efficiently, and that it is properly maintained and cleaned.
  • Escalating Concerns and Issues
    • Report any concerns or issues related to food safety, health and safety, or customer care to your supervisor or manager.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Level 2 food safety certificate.
    • Previous experience in a catering or food service environment, with knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritise tasks effectively.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and to communicate effectively with colleagues and residents.
