Job Description:

A leading technology company is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Consultant to join their team on a contract basis. As a Cloud Security Consultant, you will play a critical role in collaborating with the Enterprise Security, Architecture, Cloud Enablement & Engineering teams to plan, implement, and optimize security controls in the cloud, particularly within multi-cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and optimize cloud security controls, leading efforts to enhance security configurations and policies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with industry standards, including the Cloud Security Alliance, Cloud Controls Matrix, and NIST guidelines.
  • Implement and enforce standards and policies to safeguard workloads and the cloud infrastructure, applying a deep understanding of IAM, RBAC, SIEM, firewalls, and CNAPP.
  • Provide technical security expertise, advising and guiding team members and the wider business, and serving as a trusted advisor to shape and drive the security agenda across key business units.
  • Conduct comprehensive technical assessments of existing cloud security capabilities and solutions to identify vulnerabilities and risks, developing actionable recommendations and strategies for securing cloud solutions.
  • Implement security measures for cloud-native applications, including container security and serverless architectures, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate the deployment of security controls, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Deep technical security background with in-depth knowledge of cross-cloud security principles and standard processes.
  • Proven experience in implementing and enforcing security standards and policies to safeguard workloads and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of IAM, RBAC, SIEM, firewalls, and CNAPP, with experience in implementing and optimizing cloud security controls.
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills, with the ability to provide technical security expertise to team members and the wider business.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive technical assessments and develop actionable recommendations for securing cloud solutions.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive day rate of £750-£800 per day.
  • An IR35 status of Inside.
  • A contract duration of 6 months initially.
  • A requirement to travel 2 days a week to the Hertfordshire office.
