A remarkable opportunity has emerged for a Commercial Legal Advisor to become a pivotal part of an energy and utilities organization, contributing strategically to their internal legal team.

This position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, supporting the General Counsel by delivering comprehensive commercial legal guidance to senior management throughout the organization.


Key Responsibilities

You will take the lead in drafting and negotiating various commercial, IT, and cybersecurity agreements, while also offering insights on data protection and safeguarding intellectual property.

Your role will involve providing timely and high-quality legal counsel to a variety of stakeholders within this expanding organization.

You will be accountable for managing and revising the company’s standard commercial documentation, ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations, and facilitating risk management across all essential business operations.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a UK qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably acquired in-house or at a reputable national or regional law firm, with exposure to clients in the utilities, energy, or technology sectors.

You should possess exceptional technical legal skills with a solid grounding in commercial contracts, ideally with experience in overseeing large-scale IT and/or cybersecurity initiatives.

Confidence in managing your own portfolio of commercial legal matters while supporting your broader team is essential.
