About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Validation Senior Engineer to join our team at Rentokil Initial. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity and quality of our pest and hygiene products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Validation Expertise
    • Provide technical expertise across Product Development and In Market Validation activities to support the creation and maintenance of a world-class pest and hygiene product portfolio.
    • Design and execute rigorous testing protocols to ensure product robustness and longevity in the field.
    • Provide expert product validation support to the design process through to product launch to market.
  • Test Planning and Execution
    • Scope out and design test solutions to validate new products to ensure technical requirements have been met.
    • Execute tests within the test laboratory to achieve deadlines required by various projects.
    • Continually seek to improve and evolve tests in response to information received from in-field performance and quality complaints.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, In Market Solutions, and Quality Assurance.
    • Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification or more than 5 years of experience in Product Validation environment.
    • Engineering background with proven experience of working within multi-disciplined teams and working effectively within a matrix organization structure.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication skills, calm under pressure, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
    • Expertise in validating electronics/electrical/electromechanical products.
    • Experience of testing firmware and wireless products.
    • Ability to manage a large number of items in a project portfolio across the design process.
