About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Manager to join our team at Yorkshire Housing. As a key member of our Governance Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our governance framework is robust and effective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on governance matters, including policy updates and performance measures.
  • Manage the Company Secretariat, ensuring our Executive Directors make informed decisions with solid governance insights.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the Governance Team, guiding them to meet high standards and exceed targets.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a governance or compliance environment, preferably within the housing sector.
  • Knowledge of governance arrangements and best practices, with awareness of current changes as they relate to the Regulator of Social Housing and Companies House.
  • Legislative knowledge and ability to interpret complex regulations.
  • Experience of managing budgets and controlling expenditure.
  • Ability to lead and develop others, with evidence of successful team management.
