Position Summary:

In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Regional Executive Chef and the Executive Chef of Culinary Innovation UK&I. Your primary focus will be on driving culinary creativity and maintaining high standards of quality within the UK&I region. This position encompasses the generation of innovative culinary concepts, the execution of strategic initiatives, and the supervision of culinary projects, ensuring compliance with purchasing standards and product quality benchmarks.

This role requires frequent travel across various locations, necessitating a valid driver's license and the ability to commute effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve customer satisfaction and business goals while optimizing resources.
  • Work collaboratively with menu development teams and Account Managers to align with customer expectations and enhance profitability.
  • Engage with clients to ascertain their culinary needs and preferences.
  • Define and fulfill internal customer specifications.
  • Evaluate performance metrics, identify challenges, and propose solutions while providing regular updates.
  • Seek innovative approaches and foster continuous improvement across the department and the organization.
  • Conduct internal quality assurance assessments and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Participate in menu planning and meetings addressing customer feedback and culinary development.
  • Mentor and develop team members to maximize their potential and create opportunities for advancement.
  • Manage resources effectively to maintain a productive work environment.
  • Address operational challenges in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, health and safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead and evaluate direct reports, including conducting performance assessments.
  • Comply with organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Background:

  • Possession of culinary or hospitality-related qualifications such as a degree or diploma (mandatory); Intermediate HACCP certification or equivalent (preferred); Management or Leadership qualifications are advantageous.

Professional Experience:

  • Proven experience in overseeing a large-scale food production operation;
  • Qualified Chef with international culinary experience preferred;
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant production methods and industry trends;
  • Experience in leading teams within the culinary sector;
  • Proficient in managing budgets and achieving financial and performance objectives.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Expertise in Lean Management principles;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Exceptional presentation abilities;
  • Intermediate proficiency in IT applications;
  • Financial acumen with demonstrated experience in budget management.
