About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Credit & Collections Representative to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for driving improvements in free cash flow and operational performance, with a focus on optimizing accounts receivable and credit processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers and account teams to set optimal credit terms and build strong client relationships while reducing bad debt risk.
- Effectively utilize and analyze data to assess credit risks and formulate proactive strategies that are fully aligned with company goals.
- Improve and strengthen our credit strategy by implementing industry best practices.
- Work closely with internal and external teams, including Controllers, Treasury, Sales, Service Delivery Managers, and Accounts Receivable teams.
- Ensure compliance with collection activities and proactively resolve any related issues.
Requirements:
- Fluent in French (spoken and written).
- Experience in B2B Credit Control is a must.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
- Understanding of Incoterms and related payment vehicles, including Letter of Credit and Cash Against Documents (CAD).
- Familiarity with financial reporting sources such as D&B, Graydon, or Credit Risk Monitor.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and articulate.
- Driven, motivated, and prepared to maximize the opportunity.
