About the Role
NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mints Major Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing care needs and developing programmes of care, as well as implementing and evaluating these programmes to ensure high-quality care for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess presenting conditions and initiate investigations
- Determine differential diagnosis and initiate treatment
- Review treatment plans developed by less experienced staff
- Supervise, develop, and deploy junior staff
- Manage the MINTS Service, including supervision and development of junior staff
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current revalidation and NMC Registration
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
- Graduate Certificate in Urgent Care or Equivalent
- Mints Major / Minor Injury practitioner / or Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification
- Postgraduate expertise within speciality / area of practice
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of Minor injuries
- Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures
- Leadership skills to ensure optimum day-to-day management of the service
- Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate others
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management skills
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
Contract Details
Fixed Term or Secondment until 31/03/2025
Part Time
28.2 hours
Please note this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Please note this is a fixed-term post until 31/03/2025. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based Lanarkshire Wide.
The working pattern for this role: 12 hour Shifts
