Position Overview

As part of our Apprentice program, we are excited to welcome a Mechanical Apprentice to our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to embark on a career in the engineering field.

Key Responsibilities

In this apprenticeship, you will collaborate with experienced engineers, assisting in mechanical installations, repairs, and maintenance across various client sites. You will receive comprehensive on-the-job training to enhance your skills and knowledge in mechanical engineering.

  • Support mechanical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks
  • Learn to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols while using personal protective equipment
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients
  • Maintain a tidy and organized work environment

Candidate Requirements

  • Genuine interest in mechanical engineering
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to follow instructions and work collaboratively
  • Effective communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science
  • Must be 18 years or older due to the nature of the work
  • A full UK driving license and personal vehicle are necessary for site visits

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous experience or education related to engineering
  • Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in mechanical work
