Job Summary:

The DP Group is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team in a hybrid role that combines financial expertise with a passion for the outdoors. As a key member of our finance department, you will work closely with our Financial Director to maintain accurate accounting records, produce timely financial performance reporting, and interface with all departments across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate accounting records, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, including commentary and variance analysis, within reporting deadlines.
  • Develop additional financial performance reporting to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.
  • Assist with budgets and forecasting to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast to ensure liquidity and cash management.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Maintain a fixed asset register to track and manage company assets.
  • Assist with documenting accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with a strong commercial acumen and experience in financial management.
  • Proven accounting technical and analytical ability, with experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent working knowledge of accounting systems, with experience in XERO or similar software.
  • Advanced level user of MS Excel, with the ability to effectively manipulate large volumes of data.
  • Experience of partial exempt VAT returns and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Proven experience in change management, quality assurance, and data analysis.
