Capital Manager Role

The Emerald Group is seeking a skilled Capital Manager to support the development and running of our internal model. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to non-traditional actuarial projects using advanced analytics, adding value to the wider business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with capital managers/head of capital to produce regulatory and economic capital results
  • Work closely with capital managers to continuously develop and improve the capital model
  • Contribute to non-traditional actuarial projects involving advanced analytics in the Energy sector, identifying opportunities to build bespoke forecasting models/GLMs and broaden the use of existing capital models to provide strategic insights
  • Develop analytical skills to clean, manipulate, and interpret data
  • Proficiency in R programming, with experience in data visualisation and statistical analysis
  • Strong background in applied statistical analysis, including GLM and data simulations
  • Familiarity with Solvency II is beneficial, but extensive coding experience can be sufficient
