Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Octagon Group. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services, driving process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Management: Develop and implement robust quality controls, ensuring compliance with AS9100 Rev D / ISO9001:2015 standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and diagnose production process issues, utilizing root cause analysis methods like 5 Whys, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with different departments to support day-to-day quality management, address daily quality issues, and provide effective problem-solving solutions.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Engage with suppliers and customers as necessary to resolve quality concerns, conduct supplier quality audits, and internal audits as needed.
  • Training and Development: Mentor employees in AS9100 Rev D requirements, share best practices, and contribute to the completion of monthly KPIs and ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive and participate in continual improvement initiatives, promote best practices and standardized approaches within the quality team, and lead quality assurance controls in process areas.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Strong background in Quality Engineering within AS9100 Rev D / ISO9001:2015 certified environments, with a degree in a relevant field and relevant work experience.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, experienced in conventional inspection equipment and 8D problem-solving processes, and competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Desirable Skills: Training as an internal auditor for AS9100 Rev D / ISO9001:2015, 8D methodology training, familiarity with CMM inspection equipment, measuring arms, and other inspection technologies, and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
