Responsibilities- Liaise with HMRC on clearance applications, enquiries, and other matters.
- Draft reports and letters of advice on various tax advisory issues.
- Prepare calculations to support tax advice.
- Liaise with clients and attend meetings with team members.
- Train and review the work of junior staff members.
- Provide support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group.
- Advise on corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs, staff incentive schemes, and other tax-related matters.
- Assist with remuneration planning, succession planning, and other tax advisory services for owner-managed businesses.
- Prepare research and development claims, VAT returns, and SDLT returns.
- Advise individuals on IHT planning and CGT mitigation.
- Review corporate tax computations and returns.
- CTA qualification or AAT/ACA/ACCA qualification with a keen interest in studying towards CTA.
- Essential experience in corporate taxes and beneficial experience in other areas of tax.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Excellent teamwork and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A keen interest in learning and developing tax knowledge.
- A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience and background.
