Electrical Projects Engineer Job Description

Smart Search Technical Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Projects Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Projects Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the creation and modification of wiring diagrams and general arrangement drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the development of electrical control systems for gas turbines, including the specification of electrical hardware components and the creation of functional design specifications.
  2. Liaise with customers and sub-contractors to ensure project alignment and coordinate the installation and commissioning of control, instrumentation, and auxiliary systems.
  3. Conduct testing of electrical control panels and prepare test procedures and specifications.
  4. Support the commissioning of machines following service and maintenance visits and complete all required documentation.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of industrial PLC systems and their role within control system applications.
  • Familiarity with field instrumentation such as pressure transmitters, thermocouples, and control valves.
  • Understanding of control signals for field devices, such as 4-20mA, and their practical implementation.
  • Formal qualifications or relevant experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Solid practical experience, particularly in wiring and electrical fault finding, is essential.
  • Proficiency in using electrical test equipment such as multi-meters and signal injectors.
  • Strong grasp of electrical fundamentals, including Voltage, Current, Resistance, Cable sizes, Power supplies, and Circuit Breakers.
  • Must hold a current, clean driving license.
  • Possession of a valid passport for international travel.
  • Good working knowledge of PLC based control and HMI systems software and hardware (Rockwell and Siemens S7).
  • Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD electrical.
  • Design & Implementation of Fire & Gas protection systems.
  • CCNSG Passport to Safety.
  • Offshore Vantage Card.
