Field Service Technician

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Company Vehicle + Overtime

About the Position:
Astute's Nuclear division is collaborating with a leader in water technology and service solutions. We are seeking a Field Service Technician with a background in the water sector or relevant operational and maintenance experience.

This pivotal role offers a competitive salary up to £35,000, along with a company vehicle and fuel card, plus opportunities for overtime and commission.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Field Service Manager, your duties will include:
  • Conducting on-site corrective and preventive maintenance for water treatment systems.
  • Offering technical and commercial assistance.
  • Delivering after-sales technical and commercial support.
  • Completing risk assessments, work reports, and necessary documentation.
  • Participating in the on-call schedule.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations for both the organization and clients.
  • Timely submission of risk assessments, work reports, timesheets, and other documentation.
  • Efficiently executing site tasks and activities.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
  • NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • A valid UK driving license.
Personal Attributes:
The Field Service Technician role is ideal for individuals who:
  • Have experience in the water treatment sector (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Possess knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry (desirable).
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, punctuality, professionalism, and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Have familiarity with company products, applications, and markets (desirable).
  • Demonstrate excellent time management abilities.
Compensation and Benefits:
The Field Service Technician position offers:
  • Annual salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000 based on experience.
  • Company vehicle and fuel card.
  • Overtime opportunities.
  • Provision of laptop, mobile phone, and personal protective equipment.
  • 5% commission on all successful parts quotations.
