Eville and Jones is the exclusive provider of Official Controls to the Food Standards Agency. We offer a diverse range of services to both public and private sectors, including Export Certification, portal inspection, training, and consultancy.
Position Summary:
Due to our ongoing expansion, we are seeking to hire Plant Inspection Assistants (PIAs) to operate in poultry processing facilities in the Cullompton region. The PIA role is crucial in ensuring that meat production adheres to safety regulations and legal standards.
Work Schedule:
This position requires coverage for shifts as outlined below:
- 37 hours per week
- Shift/Rota basis between 03:45 - 00:45 on weekdays and 03:45 - 15:45 on weekends.
- Working 4 to 5 days out of 7.
Key Responsibilities:
A typical day may involve:
- Conducting post-mortem inspections.
- Ensuring that any meat and offal deemed unfit are properly removed, stored, and disposed of.
- Keeping precise records of inspections and findings.
- Collecting and entering data.
This role will allow you to become an integral part of our team, contributing to the maintenance of the highest food safety standards.
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Team-oriented with strong communication abilities.
- Capable of adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Interested in food safety and comfortable working in a processing environment.
- Committed to a full-time position.
