Job Description

M4 Recruitment - Contracts Careers is seeking a skilled HGV driver to join our team as a Home Delivery Specialist. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer service while ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a wide range of products, including furnishings, white goods, and sports equipment, to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery operations and meet customer expectations.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines and driver regulations.

Requirements:

  • A valid C1 or C driving license with a maximum of 6 points.
  • A Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
  • Ability to work a 41-hour week, with a rota that includes 4 out of 7 days, with varying shift times.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Working Hours:

Our HGV drivers work a variety of shifts, including:

  • 06:00 - 17:00 Monday to Saturday.
  • 10:30 - 21:30 Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 18:00 Saturday.

Pay Rates:

We offer competitive pay rates, including:

  • £14.59 per hour for shifts between 06:00 - 17:00.
  • £15.04 per hour for shifts between 10:30 - 21:30.
  • Overtime rates apply after 41 hours.
