Job Title: Brick Mason

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team at SY BUILDER LTD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, foundations, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and natural stones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lay out patterns or foundations using measuring tools to ensure accurate and precise construction.
  • Cut or break bricks to fit around openings or in corners, requiring attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto slabs or foundation, adhering to industry standards and building codes.
  • Align structures vertically and horizontally using levels to guarantee stability and safety.
  • Inspect work to ensure conformity to specifications and building codes, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Repair or replace broken bricks and faulty mortar, demonstrating problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels, showcasing manual dexterity and technical expertise.
  • Knowledge of masonry techniques including bricklaying and pointing, highlighting a strong foundation in the trade.
  • Experience with power tools for cutting and shaping materials, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other trades like carpenters and welders, emphasizing teamwork and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Familiarity with roofing techniques in relation to masonry work, indicating a willingness to learn and expand skills.
