Operations Team Leader

MCS Group is seeking an experienced Operations Team Leader to join our team in Craigavon. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and delegation of duties to ensure the delivery of shift, daily, and weekly production goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as the first point of contact for team members, ensuring regular communication and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Provide a first point of contact for other functions outside of normal office hours and escalate issues as necessary.
- Communicate regularly with the departmental manager on current and potential future issues.
- Coach and mentor the team to enable their performance standards in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environmental.
- Allocate work, manage staffing levels, and ensure attendance, grievance, and disciplinary matters are dealt with in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate records are maintained of all production adjustments and operational checks.
- Monitor process controls and ensure team members carry out necessary adjustments to maintain production within specification and minimize waste.
- Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- 3 years recent and relevant experience of shift supervision and team leadership in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Evidence of monitoring KPIs and introducing initiatives to ensure consistent achievement of production targets.
- GCSE pass level in Maths & English.
- Experience in using standardised work instructions.
- Knowledge of safe working practices and how to enhance a safe place of work through operator inclusively.
- Carried out Risk Assessments and hazard elimination.
- Experience of working within a manufacturing environment where multiple workstations interact together to deliver an efficiently manufactured product.
