Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a successful Secondary School in London. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Class Teacher in delivering lessons and classroom management, while also providing individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with lower ability and SEN pupils in Secondary key stages, providing support across a wide range of subjects.
  • Assist SEN pupils with learning on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.
  • Support the Class Teacher in delivering lessons and classroom management.
  • Provide a positive and happy presence in class, offering encouragement and praise to pupils.
  • Be creative and think outside the box to make learning fun and accessible for SEN students.

Requirements:

  • Relevant work or volunteer experience working with children or young people.
  • A Degree or equivalent.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player with a passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
