We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Adjuster to join our team at Experis - ManpowerGroup. As a Claims Adjuster - Marine and Energy Specialist, you will be responsible for managing claims for Direct, Facultative Reinsurance, and Treaty classes in the Marine and Energy sector.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Handling: Act within an agreed claims handling authority and uphold the departmental objectives.
- Compliance: Adhere to Lloyds Minimum Standards and maintain compliance with internal and external risk controls and regulatory requirements.
- Claim Evaluation: Receive and act upon first notifications and updates, determining coverage and taking a fair and proportionate approach towards policy holders.
- Reserve Management: Establish and maintain reserves, and agree valid claims.
- Communication: Carry out negotiations with brokers, face to face when required, and handle claims electronically via ECF and DocoSoft.
- Expert Management: Manage third-party experts and represent the syndicate at market meetings.
- Reporting: Notify and report claims notifications to underwriters and senior management where necessary.
- Litigation: Handle litigated cases in relevant jurisdictions.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete statistics, SDRs, diary, and other ancillary tasks to a high standard.
- Experience: Handing major claims through the discovery process and dispute resolution, managing multiple claims in their class of business and in multiple jurisdictions, and experience in Marine and Energy classes.
- Qualifications: Qualified or studying towards ACII.
- Desired Skills: Detailed understanding of the London Market regulatory environment and implications for Talbot and our clients, full working knowledge of ECF and/or DocoSoft, litigation, mediation, dispute resolution, and deposition skills, and ability to identify trends and understand how these may impact on Claims and the Syndicate more broadly.
