We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to support pupils aged 5-16 with SEMH difficulties.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that caters to the individual needs of each student.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance.
- Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong understanding of SEMH difficulties and experience working with pupils with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Knowledge of relevant curriculum guidelines and educational policies.
- Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
- Additional training or qualifications in special education or SEN support.
- Experience working in a similar role within a special provision or SEN school.
The role involves working with vulnerable children and may require additional safeguarding training. Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, within the school term calendar. Opportunities for professional development and career progression within the school.
