Position Overview

This newly established position within the Trust is designed to provide visionary leadership, focusing on the advancement of education and research related to enhanced care services throughout the organization, aligning with the Trust's commitment to personalized integrated care.

The primary objective of this role is to elevate the quality of care for patients requiring additional support during their hospital stay due to various neurological challenges, including mental health issues, dementia, and delirium. This involves strengthening existing relationships and creating new pathways across the hospital and with specialized teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate person-centered and relationship-focused enhanced care within Ashford & St Peter's NHS Foundation Trust, enhancing the experience of families and caregivers affected during hospital stays.
  • Offer expert guidance and spearhead the formulation of Trust-wide policies and strategies concerning service delivery and development, including service analysis. Identify areas for practice enhancement and initiate educational and quality improvement initiatives across all facets of tailored care delivery to address patient needs.
  • Provide strategic direction for enhanced care (including mental health and dementia) across the Trust, in alignment with the Trust's vision for personalized integrated care services, with a concentrated effort on enhancing the quality of direct care.
  • Manage personal workload effectively, dedicating a portion of time to direct autonomous professional practice while allocating the remainder to the strategic development of services alongside existing Trust leadership. Job Responsibilities

General Duties

  • Lead the Trust's enhanced care and dementia team.
  • Provide managerial and clinical oversight to the team.
