The Role:
- Estimator position dealing with a high-end range of architectural metal systems, including balustrades, balconies, canopies, stairs, handrails, and staircases.
- Carrying out take-offs from drawings and measurements to produce bills of quantities/price schedules.
- Dealing with client inquiries via phone calls and emails.
- Preparing and submitting accurate and detailed tenders within the provided timeframe.
- Following up on submitted tenders, receiving feedback from clients, and updating records accordingly.
- Conducting handover meetings to pass secured projects to the production team.
- Developing relationships with clients to secure further business.
- Liaising with colleagues to facilitate the progression of tenders and projects.
- Producing estimates for projects ranging from £100k to £1m in value.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Must have estimating experience within the architectural metal market sector, dealing with balustrades, balconies, canopies, stairs, handrails, and staircases.
- Must have sound Excel and AutoCAD skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
- Ideally will have experience dealing with commercial and residential projects.
- Driven, enthusiastic, comfortable working autonomously.
