Located at our operational site, this role reports to the Projects Lead within the Technology and Improvement (T&I) division. You will oversee the execution of significant capital projects, managing both internal engineering teams and external design resources. Your focus will be on ensuring that business cases are robust and that engineering solutions are appropriate for their intended purposes, while adhering to project management best practices and compliance with relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers and operational teams to ensure cross-functional participation. Prepare comprehensive project documentation for approval, ensuring compliance with Tronox's Project Management processes. Ensure adherence to relevant engineering and regulatory standards. Oversee the design, planning, construction, supervision, and commissioning of project portfolios. Assist in defining scopes of work to facilitate effective contractor management. Coordinate and manage both internal and contracted labor for project tasks. Maintain and update project data, including drawings, procedures, and specifications as necessary. Serve as Principal Designer for assigned projects in accordance with applicable regulations. Develop and implement departmental strategies, systems, controls, and procedures to support project objectives.Candidate Profile
We seek a motivated and talented individual who is eager to grow professionally. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
A degree in a relevant field (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical). Chartered status. Capability to act as Principal Designer under relevant regulations. Strong understanding of UK Health and Safety legislation, with NEBOSH Construction certification preferred. A minimum of 10 years of project management experience from a client perspective, supported by a solid engineering background and extensive knowledge of contract management. Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Project for scheduling. Familiarity with SAP related to Capital Projects. Ability to manage budgets effectively to achieve project goals. Significant experience in Budget and Programme Management. Relevant engineering experience in the chemical sector or similar industries is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders. Strong impact and influencing capabilities.Work Location
