Behaviour Support Assistant Role

U-Educate is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join one of our schools in Gosport.

This role involves providing one-to-one support to students with challenging behaviour, implementing behaviour management strategies, and collaborating with teachers to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students with challenging behaviour
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions as directed by the SENCO or teacher
  • Support students in developing social and emotional skills
  • Monitor and record students' behaviour and progress, providing regular feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management
  • Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and outings

The successful applicant will enjoy working with 11-16-year-olds and have a calm manner, with the ability to work as part of a team. Prior experience working with students with challenging behaviour is desired, but not essential.
