We are seeking a skilled Payroll Assistant to join our client's growing construction organisation. As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Payroll Manager and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll.
Key Responsibilities:- Verify and correct weekly timesheets
- Input information onto the payroll system
- Process and file weekly and monthly payroll
- Ensure timely and correct payment of wages and salaries
- Manage weekly and monthly auto-enrolment and pension schemes effectively
- Liaise with HMRC and employees
- Update Excel spreadsheet of labour costs on a weekly basis
- Maintain holiday and personnel records
- Answer calls, deal with queries, and direct as appropriate
- Perform ad hoc duties as required
- Previous experience in payroll processing with knowledge of PAYE, NIC, C.I.S, SSP, SPP
- Proficiency in using Sage 50 Payroll software
- Ability to work to strict deadlines with strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service
- Pension scheme
- On-site parking
This is a permanent part-time position, offering 18 hours per week.
