We are in search of a dynamic and innovative Transport Planner who possesses the expertise necessary to execute services in accordance with company protocols and client service level agreements (SLAs).
This organization is celebrated for its exceptional customer service, compelling value proposition, and top-tier standards in supply chain management.
They are looking for a Transport Planner to join a thriving team at a depot that caters to the requirements of various retailers.
The role involves working Monday to Friday, with rotating shifts of 9am-6pm and 12pm-9pm.Primary Responsibilities:
- Your primary focus will be the coordination of the transport planning function to guarantee the timely, efficient, and cost-effective distribution of products.
- You will manage resource allocation, organize schedules, and ensure that effective planning is in place to meet established service levels.
- Daily input of key performance indicators (KPIs), preparation of delivery documentation, and resolution of any inquiries.
- Reporting on incidents and vehicle damages.
- Ensuring compliance with transport legislation from a planning standpoint.
- Overseeing the workload for your third-party logistics (3PL) transport.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- We are looking for a transport planning expert with operational experience acquired in a high-paced environment.
- You should be well-versed in contemporary transport planning tools. Additionally, you will have a strong commitment to continuous improvement and will consistently seek to enhance operational efficiencies and fleet performance while minimizing costs.
- A solid understanding of applicable transport legislation is required.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in an FMCG transport setting.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
