Merco Recruitment is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to work as a Clinical Assessor for the Department for Work and Pensions' Personal Independence Payment service. This is a remote role, with occasional visits required to local assessment centres.

About the Role:

As a Clinical Assessor, you will use your clinical knowledge and experience to conduct paper-based reviews of claims, independent health assessments, and write reports for the DWP. You will be using your critical reasoning skills and drawing upon your clinical experience, skills & knowledge to ensure that your part in the assessment process is positive, dignified, and professional.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct paper-based reviews of claims and independent health assessments
  • Write reports for the DWP
  • Use critical reasoning skills and clinical experience to ensure a positive and professional assessment process
Requirements:
  • At least one year's post-registration work experience as a Physiotherapist
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
