Vallum Associates is collaborating with a prominent SaaS provider that specializes in delivering a cutting-edge cloud-based Customer Information System (CIS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution tailored for the Energy and Utilities industry. This platform is built on the robust Microsoft Dynamics 365 framework and operates within the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment. The organization boasts a global presence with over 450 employees across Europe, the UK, and North America.
The Cloud Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, documenting, and managing Azure cloud solutions that align with the strategic objectives of clients utilizing the platform. This position requires a profound understanding of Azure cloud architecture, exceptional technical expertise, and the capability to convert intricate requirements into practical solutions.
As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be expected to:
- Design and implement cloud architectures utilizing Azure services to fulfill client specifications.
- Oversee the deployment of Azure solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, comprehending their needs and translating them into technical specifications.
- Offer technical support and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of cloud solutions to meet established performance and availability standards.
- Ensure compliance of all cloud solutions with security policies and best practices.
- Create comprehensive documentation of solutions (including architecture, configuration, and setup) and provide training to both clients and internal teams.
- Assist in Business Development and Technical Pre-sales activities.
Key Qualifications for Cloud Solutions Architect
- 3-6 years of experience as a technical or solutions architect, with a strong technical foundation in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Security.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships, understand their business requirements, and ensure satisfaction.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying Azure-based solutions.
- Familiarity with D365 business applications and/or Power Platform is advantageous.
- Relevant Azure certifications are highly preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Hands-on approach with the ability to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
