Avante Care & Support is a registered charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of older individuals through our network of nursing and dementia care homes, as well as home care services. We are a well-established non-profit organization with a team of experienced and skilled professionals committed to making a positive impact on both individuals and their families.

We are currently seeking compassionate and creative Activities Coordinators to join our team on a relief basis at Northbourne Court in Sidcup. These roles include working alternate weekends.

At Avante Care & Support, we believe that meaningful activities are essential for enriching the lives of our residents. As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in organizing and delivering a diverse range of social, cultural, and recreational activities tailored to meet individual needs. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Designing and Implementing Engaging Programs: Develop and execute a stimulating program of activities that cater to the interests and abilities of our residents, promoting their independence and overall well-being.
  • Fostering Social Connections: Create opportunities for residents to interact with each other and build meaningful relationships through group activities, social events, and outings.
  • Encouraging Personal Growth: Offer activities that stimulate both the mind and body, encouraging residents to explore new interests, learn new skills, and maintain a sense of purpose.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with staff members, families, and volunteers to ensure that activities are aligned with individual care plans and meet the evolving needs of our residents.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A genuine passion for working with older adults and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for developing innovative activities.
  • A Health & Social Care NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in recreational activities and a strong understanding of the social model of disability.
