Job Title: Senior Corporate Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Underwriter to join our high-performing Corporate Lending team at Together. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and underwriting corporate real estate cases within the Commercial Finance business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and analyze credit and portfolio risk for both new and existing customers, proactively managing a pipeline of cases to ensure exceptional service levels.
  • Ensure that new and existing loan applications are granted in line with the risk appetite of the Group.
  • Present and recommend loan applications to Credit Committee and formally approve loans at funding in-line with your designated mandate authority.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across internal sales colleagues, intermediary partners, and corporate customers.
  • Present an efficient and professional image of the Company in all communication with customers, intermediaries, and third parties to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve the overall quality of new lending submissions.
  • Effectively use MI to monitor and analyze performance, identifying trends and taking corrective steps to improve future business submissions through constructive feedback.
  • Continuously review operational processes across the department to identify areas of improvement and maximize efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Commercial underwriting experience across both residential and commercial property types.
  • Held a lending mandate of at least £1m+.
  • Experienced at presenting to and influencing at Exec level.
  • Experience of managing key internal and external relationships.
