Job Summary

GCS is seeking a highly skilled Third Party Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our risk management function, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of various third-party risk management consulting engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Support Consulting Engagements: You will lead and support the delivery of a variety of third-party risk management consulting engagements, working closely with clients to understand their risk management needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Build and Maintain Client Relationships: You will build and maintain key client relationships with stakeholders up to c-suite level, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that client needs are met.
  • Design and Deliver Risk Management Frameworks: You will design and deliver third-party risk management frameworks and associated solutions, working closely with clients to understand their risk management needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Manage Current State Assessments: You will manage current state assessments and deliver gap analysis and reporting, providing clients with actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Design Comprehensive Risk Management Operating Models: You will design comprehensive third-party risk management operating models and provide expertise regarding implementation, working closely with clients to understand their risk management needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Perform System/Process Assessments: You will perform comprehensive system/process assessments and provide expert analysis and guidance, helping clients to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Lead Business Process Design Activity: You will lead business process design activity, implementation planning, and analysis, working closely with clients to understand their risk management needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Manage Risk Remediation Programmes: You will manage third-party risk remediation programmes and projects, working closely with clients to understand their risk management needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Build Business Pipeline: You will build business pipeline, identifying new opportunities and developing strategies to win new business.

Team Objectives

  • Provide Coaching and Guidance: You will provide coaching and guidance for junior colleagues and contribute training materials and knowledge sharing with the wider team.
  • Lead Small Teams: You may lead small teams of consultants, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Lead Internal Improvement Initiatives: You will lead internal improvement initiatives as required, working closely with colleagues to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for implementation.

Key Skills and Experience

A minimum of 6 years' experience working in third-party risk management disciplines is required. You will have extensive knowledge of outsourcing and third-party risk management regulations, as well as end-to-end experience of a variety of third-party risk management consulting engagements.

  • Experience in TPRM Function: You will have experience of supporting a third-party risk management function in a fast-paced environment, either in industry or consulting.
  • Knowledge of TPRM Regulations: You will have extensive knowledge of outsourcing and third-party risk management regulations, including PRA, EBA, and FCA.
  • End-to-End Experience: You will have end-to-end experience of a variety of third-party risk management consulting engagements, including risk assessment, gap analysis, and remediation.
  • Knowledge of TPRM Lifecycle: You will have in-depth knowledge of the third-party risk management lifecycle, including risk assessment, gap analysis, and remediation.
  • Practical Experience: You will have practical experience of third-party risk management framework design and implementation, as well as solutions to support.
  • Ability to Address Risk: You will have the ability to address risk using standardised and consistent methodology, working closely with clients to understand their risk management needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Ability to Work Independently: You will have the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with equal success.
  • Comfortable with Ambiguity: You will be comfortable with ambiguity and leading projects where scope and stakeholder landscape are not always clear.
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management Skills: You will have excellent stakeholder management skills up to executive level, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that client needs are met.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You will have strong customer-facing verbal and written communication skills, working closely with clients to understand their risk management needs and develop tailored solutions.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Industry Standard Tools: You will have knowledge and experience utilising industry-standard tools, techniques, and systems.
  • Consultancy Background: A consultancy background is not required, but a desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a range of clients is key.
