About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Practitioner to join our team at Market Harborough & Bosworth Partnership. As a General Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of medical services to patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment of illnesses and injuries.
  • Conduct thorough medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order diagnostic tests as necessary.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patients' medical histories, lifestyles, and personal preferences.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed, ensuring safe and effective use.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatments, and prognoses.
  • Manage patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of medical history, diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration (General Medical Council) and a valid UK permit or right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Experience in general practice, with a strong understanding of clinical governance, quality issues, and health and social policy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
