Maths Teacher Opportunity in Greenwich

We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join our team at GSL Education in Greenwich. As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and moderate learning difficulties.

About the Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering Maths lessons that engage students with SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver Maths lessons that cater to the needs of students with SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Create and implement tailored learning plans, adjusting teaching techniques to suit each student's individual needs.
  • Promote a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages emotional growth and academic curiosity.
  • Work closely with fellow teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure the holistic development of each student.
  • Assess student progress regularly, offering feedback and modifying teaching methods as necessary.
  • Participate in broader school activities, contributing to a welcoming and cohesive school community.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Maths or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths to students in special educational settings, particularly with SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Strong knowledge of adapting instruction for diverse learning needs and effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • A passion for inclusive education and supporting students with a range of needs.
