We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gas Analytics Manager to join our team at EDF Trading. As a key member of our Energy Market Analytics department, you will be responsible for leading our Gas Analytics team and providing critical insights to support our gas trading activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 10 gas analysts and data engineers, setting objectives, ensuring delivery of agreed outputs, and maintaining quality of output.
  • Develop profitable trading ideas based on analysis of fundamentals and market information.
  • Maintain a superior level of quantitative rigor in analysis and closely monitor accuracy of analytical output over time.
  • Work collaboratively with senior colleagues across analytics and other EDF Trading departments to produce integrated energy analysis.
  • Be flexible and adjust to changing conditions, as the list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be subject to change.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and other quantitative techniques.
  • Proficient in Python for data analytics, with knowledge of other widely used programs, including Excel and SQL.
