We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Director to join our Tax Advisory Group at Carpenter Box LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to our clients across various sectors and taxes.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with HMRC on clearance applications, enquiries, and other matters
- Draft reports and letters of advice on tax advisory issues
- Prepare calculations to support advice
- Liaise with clients and attend meetings with team members
- Train and review the work of junior staff members
- Support Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group
- Advice on corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs, and staff incentive schemes
- Advising owner-managed businesses on remuneration planning and succession planning
- Preparing research & development claims, VAT returns, and SDLT returns
- Advising individuals on IHT planning and CGT mitigation
- Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent teamwork and organisational skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- A keen interest in learning and developing tax knowledge
