About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Customer Fulfilment team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor site performance against set KPIs and develop plans to improve processes
  • Establish and implement workplace health and safety programs and arrange training sessions
  • Analyse safety metrics and incident trends to inform resource allocation and risk mitigation strategies
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety laws and regulations
A Day in the Life

You will be based on-site at one of our Fulfilment Centres, where you will work closely with colleagues across the business to identify and mitigate risks. Your expertise will help us stay on top of health and safety compliance, while also driving process improvements and innovation.

Our Customer Fulfilment team is the backbone of Amazon's operations, handling over 1.5 million orders every day. We are a dynamic and fast-paced team that is always looking for ways to improve and innovate. As a Workplace Health and Safety Specialist, you will be part of a team that is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the well-being of our employees.

Requirements
  • Experience in workplace health and safety (WHS) related field
  • Education to Degree level
  • NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ5 level or equivalent qualification
  • Understanding of UK Environment, health and safety legislation
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities
