Associate in Non-Contentious Construction Law – Global Firm

Team Overview: The London-based non-contentious construction team is highly regarded and has a strong track record of advising clients across various industries on diverse construction projects, including commercial, retail, energy, urban regeneration, and infrastructure. The team is known for its ambition, collegiality, and supportive culture, having experienced significant growth in recent years.
Role Responsibilities: In this position, you will provide expert advice on a range of construction projects, including but not limited to commercial, retail, energy, urban regeneration, and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on procurement routes and strategies.
- Assisting in the drafting and negotiation of various construction agreements, including standard form contracts such as NEC, JCT, FIDIC, and IChemE, as well as bespoke agreements, professional team appointments, guarantees, bonds, collateral warranties, and ancillary documents.
Candidate Requirements: To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- A solid academic background.
- 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in non-contentious construction law, ideally from a reputable practice.
- A keen interest and relevant experience in construction and infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels.
- A collaborative approach that contributes positively to the team’s culture and values.
