About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to join our Customer Excellence team at The Very Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in leading our Customer Care efforts and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Operations Manager in delivering departmental initiatives, strategy, and budgets.
  • Work in partnership with the Customer Care change squad to ensure operational awareness and oversight of all changes impacting Customer Excellence.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management skills, coordinating activities across multiple departments to improve processes and outcomes for our customers.
  • Ensure the team is up-to-date on all regulatory requirements and that team activities remain consistent and compliant.
  • Lead the team to achieve performance objectives in line with regulatory, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Drive people engagement across the department and encourage a customer-centric culture.
  • Collaborate with the wider Customer Care Operations Team to build and drive strategy plans in line with The Very Group's vision and priorities.

You will have a proven track record of working in a regulated environment, with experience of FCA, FOS, and GDPR principles. You will be a self-motivated and ambitious individual with a natural desire to connect, lead, collaborate, and be a team player.
