Security Officer Night Shift Position

Vigilant Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team on a night shift basis. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our prestigious Sports Facility site in Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring CCTV, fire, and security systems, ensuring that all security processes are adhered to, including Key Management and associated reports. You will also be required to ensure that CCTV systems are utilised, the code of practice and processes are observed, and the Data Protection Act 2018 is followed.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor CCTV, fire, and security systems to ensure the safety and security of the facility.
- Ensure that all security processes are adhered to, including Key Management and associated reports.
- Utilise CCTV systems to maintain a high level of security and surveillance.
- Observe and adhere to the code of practice and processes.
- Ensure that the Data Protection Act 2018 is followed at all times.
- Work independently and as part of a team to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Report and respond to incidents correctly and complete incident reports as required.
- Complete daily tasks and record them accurately.
- Support the development of working practices and maintain an excellent knowledge of the site.
- Provide a consistent professional service at all times.
- Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated team player.
- Maintain competence with security systems.
- Experience in technical systems and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience in operating CCTV systems and radio systems.
- Ability to remain calm and confident under pressure and work within strict time limits.
- Ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports.
- Demonstrate reliability, including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Immaculate presentation.
- Maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality at all times.
- Able to be vetted back 5 years or since leaving compulsory education.
