Job Description

Wayman Group is seeking a dedicated and passionate Geography Educator to join our team. As a Geography Educator, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in the fascinating field of geography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, promoting their understanding and enjoyment of geography.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with educational advancements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching geography at the primary or secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of educational best practices.
