Financial Accountant

This role requires a meticulous and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting within the Accounting & Finance department of a reputable not-for-profit organisation based in Greater Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily reconciliations of cash, bank, and other financial accounts.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation.
- Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts and posting transactions.
- Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to improve financial procedures.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
- Ensure compliance with organisational financial policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the achievement of the department's objectives through active participation in team meetings and projects.
- A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficient skills in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
